    2010 - 04.28

I guessed it should be as easy as 123 for them. Yet, they took me 2 days to process it. Here goes the story. I am having a Tunetalk prepaid number that I would like to port in to Hotlink prepaid. I went to the Maxis’s website and try to port in using online form, however, only Digi, Celcom and Umobile are in the list.

Then, I called up Maxis helpline and asked two different operators to see if my number can be ported in to Hotlink prepaid, they said Yes. Till then, the night I emailed Maxis to reconfirm this matter, so that the next day I need not to spend extra time to go to Maxis Centre for nothing. The customer care officer replied me and said Yes Tunetalk prepaid can be ported in to Hotlink prepaid.

Hence, I went to Maxis centre in the Sunway pyramid. A trainee of their information counter, asked me to queue up in the express lane to do MNP process and one funny thing he said was “I don’t think you can do MNP to Hotlink prepaid because usually MNP is for porting into Maxis Postpaid only”. Please, no such thing. I queued for half an hour, and at last it was my turn. Then, the trainee in express counter asked me to go to information counter (Wtf~) to get a queue number in order to do MNP at the device activation counter.

I waited for 1 hour just for 3 people before me. Oh god~ I got so restless already. When it was my turn, (I am sure they are the trainees AGAIN because of their unsure facial expressions) they don’t even know what the hell is TuneTalk, so I explained TuneTalk is a new telco under Tune Company, Tune Company is the company of AirAsia. They still don’t get it and keep asking their colleagues. All of them keep saying dunno and dunno. Wth. I said I have waited for so long. Further, before I come, I have already ensure that Tunetalk is possible to be ported in to Hotlink. The lady handed me a new Hotlink simcard, and said it will be processed and ask me to wait for the confirmation.

Most of the officers I contacted told me that a prepaid number will take less than 24 hours because it has no outstanding amount issue and so on hence it could be even faster in processing it. I don’t think she followed up my case, because before I leaved I saw her putting my copy of IC and my form aside.

It’s already the second day, my Tunetalk is still active and my Hotlink simcard is still “Simcard registration failed”. I am sure they didn’t even bother to help me and just simply neglected my form since MNP is a free service that announced by government.

I called up Maxis again, first person promised would get back to me in 10 minutes, it’s more than 1 hour, I got nothing. I called again, this guy helped me to find out which is the lady who assisted me yesterday. And after 1 hour, only my Tunetalk received messages saying thanks for porting in to Maxis and so on.
