This post is written for those who have intentions to buy a student prepaid plan.

First of all, if you were to ask me, I would prefer Hotlink Youth Club. I have tried all three different student prepaid plan and ended up back to Hotlink. It depends on each individual. It seems that some of its rates are relatively expensive compared to others. Yet, Hotlink Youth Club is good in terms of the reliability. Further, Hotlink has the RM2/hour pass for internet usage. For those who need not to use up to RM8/day, you may choose to purchase RM2/hour pass from your *100#.

If you love making calls, you could choose Digi Campus. This is because Digi Campus gives you 100 minutes free airtime after you hit RM2 in that particular day. The 100 minutes free airtime is only applicable for Digi-to-Digi calls. Due to this privilege, at the end of the month, you will probably still consume almost the same credits as per compared to Hotlink Youth Club or Celcom SOX/UOX users. This probably due to the reason where you feel wasted if you didn’t hit RM2 to get the daily free airtime (ie. RM2 x 30days = RM60). Talking too much on the phone may cause certain side effects. So, try not to make calls for the sake of making calls, just to fully utilize the free 100 minutes airtime everyday.

Celcom SOX/UOX has its own advantages as well. The most impressive thing is that, the SMS rate to your 8pax is just half a cent. Lol. I don’t really believe it when I heard about it, until I got one for myself.
